Challenge

A leading provider of 3rd Party Logistics Services (3PL) to the pharmaceutical industry needed to upgrade their WMS across their entire network.

Action

Avalon engaged with the clients’ business and operations staff to understand and document all of their business processes, manage the functional gaps from business process to systems functionality, and ultimately transform their entire supply chain warehouse operations.

Challenge

A major Canadian conglomerate in the pulp and paper industry wanted to review their transportation network, costs, and carrier performance.

Action

Avalon’s experts reviewed their entire transportation procurement process by leveraging their historical data, working with their routing guides, refining the TMS carrier selection process, and monitoring load tendering in their TMS. With our recommended changes to their process, updates to their TMS rules/rating process and 3 newly created KPI’s, we were able to optimize their carrier selection process and build a dashboard which enables them to improve their carrier relationship management.
